SUMMARY:Stories of Looted Art – Where are we Now?
DESCRIPTION:Looted Art is about injustice in wars, colonial history and legal/ethical issues of restitution. A current exhibition in the Mauritshuis Museum, Den Haag and the Humboldt Forum, Berlin presents new perspectives to encourage discussion and awareness. \nFrom the colonial era, to looted Nazi art, from Napoleon’s looting to European slave history, this talk will look at current issues. We will look at what has been returned and what was never returned and discuss the ethical issues involved.\n
